Eliot Heaton, Violin

Eliot Heaton is Concertmaster of the Michigan Opera Theatre, the Des Moines Metro Opera, and the Saginaw Bay Symphony. He has played concertos with orchestras throughout the midwest, and performed in chamber music series of the Chamber Soloists of Detroit, the Scarab Club, New Music Detroit, and the Geneva Music Festival. A double major at Oberlin College, he studied violin performance with Marylyn McDonald, and History. He later won a Masters degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he studied with Kevork Mardirossian and completed an outside area specialty in jazz studies. He plays a 2019 Joseph Curtin violin.
