Chris B. Rogers

Chris Rogers is Department Chair of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University with research interests in fluid turbulence, musical instrument design, and robotics. Having played violin from an early age, he has in recent years has taken up violin research and is a regular participant at the VSA Oberlin acoustics workshop. Rogers is currently working with Joseph Curtin on the development of free violin measurement software based on the LabVIEW platform.

Rogers has a PhD in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. His many awards and honors include having been a Kenan Professor of Distinguished Teaching at Princeton University, a Fulbright Senior Scholar, and a Visiting Scientist at Harvard University.
