Winner of Third Prize at the 2013 Michael Hill International Violin Competition, the “Prix Joseph-Rouleau” at the 2010 Montreal International Violin Competition, and the only Canadian at the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition, Boson Mo was one of CBC Radio’s “30 under 30 Top Classical Musicians of 2015.” He was also a Young Artist in Residence for American Public Media’s “Performance Today.”
Boson performed as First Violin with the Ensō Quartet for their 2016 summer season, and has enjoyed regular trio collaborations with cellist Desmond Hoebig and pianist Andrew Staupe. He is an alum of Music@Menlo’s International Program, the Aspen Music Festival, the Perlman Music Program, and the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Boson is currently completing a Doctoral degree at the Shepherd School of Music, Rice University, under Paul Kantor. He plays a 2010 Joseph Curtin violin.
