Aviva Hakanoglu enjoys a varied career as a performer and educator. As a violinist with the Euclid Quartet, Aviva is on faculty at Indiana University South Bend, where the Quartet is in residence. A passionate chamber musician, she has collaborated and performed with renowned artists such as Atar Arad, Peter Stumpf, and Paul Watkins. She performs with ensembles including the South Bend Symphony and Pittsburgh Festival Opera. Aviva earned her D.M.A. from Stony Brook University and her M.M. from Indiana University. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Music from Harvard. Her teachers and mentors include Simin Ganatra, Jennifer Frautschi, Philip Setzer, the Pacifica Quartet, and the Emerson Quartet. Aviva plays a 2001 Joseph Curtin violin.
