Austin Wulliman, violinist in the Spektral Quartet (University of Chicago residence) is passionately engaged with contemporary music. A Violin Fellow with Aspen Music Festival’s Contemporary Ensemble, Austin has appeared with the Chicago Symphony’s MusicNow series, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) and Montreal’s Nouvel Ensemble Moderne. He has studied scores with composers such as William Bolcom, Pierre Boulez, John Harbison, Gunther Schuller, Bright Sheng and Mark Anthony Turnage. Wulliman has degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Michigan (summa cum laude). He has played a Joseph Curtin violin since 2013.
