Erick Friedman

Erick Friedman, Violin

Erick Friedman (1939–2004) was one of the 20th Century’s most distinquished violinists. He studied with Galamian, Nathan Milstein, and then after beginning his concert career, with Jascha Heifetz, with whom he recorded the Bach Double Concerto for RCA. In 2000 Friedman was awarded the Ignace J. Paderewski Award for Distinguished Contributions to Society and Culture. He was then teaching violin at Yale University. Friedman recorded and performed on Joseph Curtin violins exclusively from 1995 until his death.
