Claude Richard, violin

Claude Richard is a violin soloist, chamber musician, teacher, and string department head at Université de Montréal in Quebec, Canada. He has appeared as soloist with Canadian and American orchestras, toured Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France, performed chamber music with pianist Emanuel Ax, and recorded for Société Radio-Canada, Radio-France and National Public Radio. In September 2006, he founded the Trio Garami. Richard’s teachers include David Cerone, Donald Weilerstein, and Pierre Amoyal. He plays a 2012 Curtin violin.
